Today, Team 8 learned how to scooter safely with Andy. We learned that there are 2 very important things we need to wear when we are riding a scooter.
1. A helmet (that fits)
2. Shoes
You know your helmet is put on correctly when you remember the rule 2, 4, 1.
2 - you have to have only a 2 finger space between your eyebrows and the start of your helmet
4 - there should be 4 straps around your ears
1 - only 1 finger should fit between your chin and the strap of your helmet
Parents - there were some Team 8 members who were still to grow into their helmets (and some who had already grown out), perhaps you could let Santa know?
Here is a video of us learning about an emergency stop.
Team 8, were very good listeners and we learned so much.
Team 8, here is a challenge....
Tell you parents some of the things you learned today and get them to post a comment. You might even like to show them on your scooter your new skills and tricks.
Looks like great fun Team 8. Have to say that I am a bit jealous that I didn't get a go! Great tip that you only a 2 finger space between your eyebrows and the start of your helmet and only 1 finger should fit between your chin and the strap of your helmet.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs Venville... Next time you can come and join us.
